A funeral wake was held at the DeSmet Community Center for Naomi Elizabeth Moctelme, 78, who died January 5, 2004, at her DeSmet home.

Naomi was born in Lapwai, Idaho, May 27, 1925, to Pete and Mary Jane Types. She attended school in Lapwai, and in 1975 she married Christopher Moctelme in Coeur d'Alene. They made their home in DeSmet.

She was a member of the Nez Perce Tribe and attended Faith Tabernacle Church in Lewiston. She was a strong supporter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in memory of her brothers, Pete and Oliver Types.

She is survived by her husband; sister Audrey Types, Lewiston; brother Virgil Types, Lapwai; son-in-law David Cash, Julietta, Idaho; five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
