Memorial services were held at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel for Willis "Jay" N. Morrison Jr., 52, Kellogg, who died January 14, 2004, in Coeur d'Alene.

Jay was born in Wardner June 2, 1951, to Willis and Rosa Morrison, Sr. He graduated from Kellogg High School in 1969, and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

On December 27, 1969, he married Patsy Adams in Kellogg. After leaving the military, Jay worked as a lab assayer for Greens Creek Mining Company, Juneau, Alaska, before being forced to retire due to declining health.

He was a member of the Pinehurst First Baptist Church and he loved time spent with his family and grandchildren, fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife; children Jeni Compton, Tucson, Arizona, Heather Miller, Post Falls, and Sarah Johnson, Kitchner, Ontario; his mother, Rosa Morrison, Pinehurst; sisters Shirley Frank, Caldwell, and Sheila Fernquist, Kellogg; one grandson and three grand-daughters.
