Memorial services were held at the Coeur d'Alene Bible Church for Marilyn Beck Weingart, 51, Cataldo, who died February 3, 2004, after a long and valiant battle with cancer.
She was born in Deer Lodge, Montana, April 7, 1952, a natural cowgirl. Throughout her life, she enjoyed the outdoors. She was an avid hunter, fisherwoman and gardener.
In 1971 she married Thomas Weingart and the couple settled in Cataldo. Marilyn worked as a substitute teacher in schools throughout the Silver Valley. She was secretary at Canyon Elementary and she taught math at Kellogg Junior High while earning her bachelor's, master's and educational specialists degrees from the University of Idaho, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She went on to earn both her principal and superintendent credentials.
She had an infectious laugh and a silly sense of humor.
She is survived by her husband at their Cataldo family home; children Tina Paul, Pablo, Montana, Travis Weingart, Spokane Valley, and Wade Weingart, Coeur d'Alene; parents Dr. Earl and Betty Coriell, Polson, Montana; brothers Dr. Randy Coriell, Hailey, Idaho, and Stephen Beck and Doug Sime, both of Deer Lodge; sisters Karen Vergenront, Polson, Rita Chase, Branson, Missouri, Janet Womack, Big Mountain, Montana, and Tin Oelschlager, Deer Lodge; and five grandchildren.
