Elsie Mae 'TeeDee' Marquette

Funeral services were held at the Hodge Funeral Chapel for Elsie Mae "TeeDee" Marquette, 74, St. Maries, who died January 30, 2004.
She was born in Nyssa, Oregon, May 3, 1929, to Robert and Ruth Wallace, and she grew up there until moving to St. Maries in 1939. She attended St. Maries High School.
On October 24, 1948, she married Herbert Marquette in St. Maries, where she and Ann Marquette owned a restaurant, later to become Minerva's. The family later moved to Avery, where Herbert worked for the Milwaukee Railroad and the Potlatch Corporation.
In 1952, she moved to Spokane, where she worked for J.C. Penney; in 1966, she moved to Chapala, Mexico, for six months before returning to St. Maries.
Her husband preceded her in death in 1993.
She is survived by son Rick Marquette, Kennewick, Washington; sisters Helen Treibel, Riverside, California, Evelyn Grytness, Roseburg, Oregon, Virginia Gibbs, Salem, Oregon, and Norma Burns, Kaizer, Oregon; two grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
