Congdon receives Army Commendation Medal



      

Army Staff Sgt. Michael E. Congdon has been decorated with the Army Commendation Medal. The medal is awarded to individuals who, while serving in any capacity with the Army, have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism, meritorious achievement or meritorious service.

Congdon is a multiple launch rocket system crew member assigned to the 6th Battalion, 32nd Field Artillery, Camp Stanley, Uijong-Bu, South Korea. He is the son of Gary E. and Margaret A. Congdon of Las Vegas, NV. His wife, Jaime, is the daughter of Alice Scarborough of St. Maries. The sergeant is a 1997 graduate of Durango High School, Las Vegas.
