Governor Wants 550 Wolves Dead

Stating that he wants to shoot one himself, Idaho Governor C.L. "Butch" Otter announced he supports a plan to kill off 550 gray wolves in the state.

Question – What is the justification? Does he want to kill a wolf for the sport of it? I tend to agree that the wolf population may be getting out of hand but just because Butch wants it reduced does not make it right.
