For Boundary County's bachelor farmers and ranchers, a leap into national stardom through a new TV reality show may be just around the corner.
The CW Television Network and Fremantle Media - which televise a host of top-rated shows such as Smallville, 7th Heaven and America's Next Top Model-have launched a national search for real farmers and ranchers to star in an upcoming network romantic-reality show.
They're hoping one of the show's bachelor contestants will hail from Boundary County.
If selected for the show, Boundary's bachelor farmer or rancher will be introduced to 10 beautiful women in hopes of finding a love connection.
"Ideally, our farmer/rancher will have real farming or ranching experience," said CW's casting producer Becky Cattie. "He should be someone who knows the land and has worked with either crops or animals like chickens, pigs, cattle, goats or other varieties."
To be considered as a potential contestant for the show, Cattie said individuals need to be single, between the ages of 23 to 30 and confident in both real life as well as the environment. Additionally, they should be in "decent shape, have a 'good-ole-boy' attitude and be able to charm the ladies," Cattie added.
If you or someone you know fits this description, email Becky Cattie at becky.casting@yahoo.com with the following information: Name, age, contact information (email, phone numbers), how they fit the description as a farmer or rancher and what experience they have, and why they are still single. Send 5 to 10 photos showing them on their ranch or farm.
Deadline for entries should be by May 11.
