The Idaho Statesman reported that the cost of holding a second trial for convicted murderer Mark Lankford has almost reached the quarter-million dollar mark. Lankford was convicted by a Shoshone County jury Feb. 13 in the 1983 slaying of a Texas couple who were camping in the Idaho wilderness east of Grangeville.
