Art Faire Call to Artitsts

Applications due to Naples Gallery Aug. 10

Art Faire, a presentation of visual arts, performing arts and culinary arts, will be held at Naples Gallery Aug. 22 - 23. This will be a free public event, showcasing Boundary County talent.

Fine artists, musicians, performers and culinary artists of Boundary County are invited to participate in Art Faire. Booth spaces of 10'x10' are available for visual artists and culinary artists. Participants must supply their own tables and tents.

Application plus booth fee of $45 is due by Aug. 10 for all participants. Contact Suzanne at Naples Gallery at 208-267-6575 or Cindy Peer at 208-255-7138 for more information or an application. Or email naplesgal@nidaho.net.

There is no booth fee for entertainers and tips will be encouraged from the audience. Entertainers include any performing artists whether they will be performing on the stage schedule or on the Faire grounds as continual entertainment during the event. These might include jugglers, mimes, magicians, storytellers, puppeteers and balladeers that will be entertaining between the main staged events.

Stage artists include performing artists who will be contracted to perform on stage at scheduled times during the Faire.

The Art Faire has enthusiastic support from visual artists, performing artists, and also culinary artists in the area. Showing off local culinary arts talents will be a first in Boundary County. This event has produced substantial interest from restaurants and individuals.

Jim and Suzanne Lublin, Naples Gallery owners, intend for this to be an annual event. They would like to see this bring traffic to Bonners Ferry to boost the local economy and identify Boundary County as a viable Arts Community.

Naples Gallery is located south of Bonners Ferry on Highway 95, at Mile 495 ½. Regular gallery hours are Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Open also by appointment at 267-6575.
