The Idaho Department of Labor will hold a Region 1 Workforce Summit workshop from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. March 3 and from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. March 4 at Coldwater Creek in Sandpoint.

Ed Morrison, national speaker on regional workforce transformation strategies will provide attendees with the tools and information to: build stronger bonds across all work force and economic development sectors in Idaho; conduct an assessment of your region’s assets and identify opportunities and risks based on those assets; develop a shared work force and economic vision for your region; identify available resources to support and invest in the region’s vision; build economic and talent driven strategies and map the steps necessary to achieve your region’s goals; and share these vital strategies with regional partners.

Your input is vital. Plan to engage in critical dialogue about: regional collaboration, education and the image of trades, healthcare and affordable/workforce housing.
