Improved Cell Service For AT&T/Cingular Customers

At Tuesday's City Council Meeting, Steven Boorman, City Administrator, advised council members that the terms of a lease between the city and AT&T/Cingular had been reached to co-locate on the cell tower that Verizon currently leases.

What does this mean for Bonners Ferry? Those of you with AT&T/Cingular phones will have cell service in and around Bonners Ferry where you may not have had it at all, or you'll see a marked improvement in the areas you do have it by the end of summer.

According to Steve, the tower was built for co-location and this will not adversely affect either service using the tower. In fact, this move signifies increased customer service to Bonners Ferry residents and those travelers who may not have a Verizon program
