Andre Feriante, Eric Fridrich, and Steve Thoreson will fuse their unique and extraordinary musical talents at a special concert Saturday, August 22nd, 9PM at the Panida Theater in Sandpoint, ID. The Seattle-based trio formed earlier this year while on a road trip to Idaho resulting in an impromptu show surprising the musicians as much as the audience. Since then, they have performed as a group at the Triple Door in Seattle, Washington, the Old Church in Portland, Oregon, and a regionally televised concert at The Upstage in Port Townsend, Washington. The upcoming concert at the Panida represents a pilgrimage to the birthplace of this rare collaboration. Troupe DeVille will take their audience on an emotional expedition, through expansive sound landscapes, and spiritually-charged detours. In their concert, you will hear solos from all three of the artists, duos and trio improvisations, and shared explorations of many styles including Classical, Jazz, Blues, Brazilian, Flamenco, and Native American. Ultimately, this trio forms a deep connection with their audience that only a shared musical journey could create. The Troupe DeVille is gassed up and ready to roll. Get in.
Saturday, August 22nd, 2009 - 8PM - Panida Theater, 300 N. 1st Ave, Sandpoint, ID $15 in advance, $18 at the door. Call the theater at 208-263-9191 for tickets

Troupe de Ville is the dynamic musical intersection of three powerful soloists. It all started with Andre Feriante, and a road trip to pick up a flamenco guitar handcrafted by Idaho's talented luthier Vance Bergeson. Eric and Steve joined Andre in Yakima, and continued the journey in Steve's '79 Coupe DeVille. Andre was set to play a small performance at a wine bar there to pay for gas and expenses. Andre's masterful flamenco guitar was joined by Eric's blues guitar and soulful harmonica stylings, and Steve Thoreson's towering, multi-layered vocals. Never has such an unexpected collaboration been so powerful. The magic of the trio that filled the room that night was so unexpected, the response so overwhelming, and the unfolding story so unforgettable. It was the first time that Eric, Steve and Andre had ever performed together as a trio and it was apparent that a group must be formed. Remaining true to road-trip behavior, humor and storytelling is an ever-present ingredient in the show. Their alter-egos Hans, Fritz and Wolfy are also known to make surprise appearances between sets.
