2009 Fall Fashion Show Celebrated In Style
Nov 9, 2009, 17:00

Sponsored jointly by the Boardwalk Boutique and Under the Sun, the 2009 Fall Fashion Show fundraiser to benefit the Boundary County Youth Crisis and Domestic Violence Hotline for Awareness and Prevention of Domestic Violence was a rousing success. The evening featured local models who showed off the latest fashions in a funky jazz club atmosphere with live music and vocal performances to ensure that everyone had a great time.

Margaret Huggins and Ann Malone shared MC duties as models Brandy Huckabee, Beverly Lamb, Becky Watts, Robin Ponsness, Katie Huggins, Julie Buck, Val Thompson, Rachel Stippich and Cathi Winkelseth brought the 51 outfits complete with accessories to life by not only modeling on stage, but by circulating through the crowd to give everyone the opportunity to inspect the clothing at closer range.

Margaret and Ann's lighthearted banter, along with the models' shining smiles, made the evening warm and enjoyable.

Margaret commented, "We have a fun group of models and a lot of really cute things."

Live music provided by the jazz band "Bright Moments" was upbeat and added a touch of class to the overall ambiance. Bonners Ferry High School Honor Choir students Sara Owinyo, Markayle Acord, Katie Enns and Ben Heart also entertained the audience with selections from the choir's repertoire.

Under the Sun's always-wonderful appetizers were a hit with the crowd and the silent auction drew many admiring comments from attendees who found the auction items to be nearly irresistible.

Ann summarized the evening best when she said, "We had so many people donate give-aways. It's so nice that this event is so supported by the community."
