Overdose victim dies

The 18-year-old drug overdose victim Gloria Discerni, died today. She was removed from life support at 2:35 p.m. and died at approximately 2:45 p.m.
Discerni never regained consciousness after slipping into a coma on Oct. 12. Detectives will not know the exact cause of her death until they receive a toxicology report. What is known is she consumed approximately 10 liquid drops of LSD.
Suspect Cameron Jester is being held at Kootenai County Public Safety Building on $100,000 bond. Charges of Manslaughter are forthcoming and will be formally filed on Monday, Oct. 18.
The Police Department and the Kootenai County Drug Task Force would like to express deepest sympathy for the parents and extended families of Discerni and Jester. This incident was a senseless tragedy.
