Get Filthy at the Moyie Mud Bog May 9-12
May 8, 2008, 14:31

Got a hankering for sloshing your beater pickup and three-quarter ton four-by-four with the heavy-duty shocks through some of the best mud this side of Georgia?

Then it's time to get down and dirty at the eighth annual Moyie Mud Bog May 9-12, a few miles northeast of Bonners Ferry, where Bruce and Kathy Berhman have been holding their wildly entertaining event on their 40-acre property since 2000.

From 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., several hundred competing mud boggers will roar their rigs over sand hills, rock climbs, races and of course, good old fashioned pools of mud for bragging rights and a weekend of the dirtiest fun in north Idaho.

Located 1.7 miles on Ilene Road off of Highway 2 in Moyie, the mud bog will feature a rock band and a country band, a concession stand grilling up burgers, fries and other goodies, along with clothing and accessories.

The cost for the weekend is $20, which includes camping and parking. No alcohol will be sold on the premises, and children under 18 years of age must be accompanied with their parents.
