WORSHIPFUL MASTERS MESSAGE

My Brothers:

The 12th District Educational Meeting in Wallace was well attended, and we had a good dinner. The meeting was good training on the proper floor work in the First Degree.

Rathdrum Lodge #41 had a First Degree on April 26th in which the information from the Educational Meeting was put to good use. Jon Richardson did an excellent job as Senior Deacon, as he always does at Kootenai Lodge #24.

The Shrine Club Crab Feed at the Shrine Club building came off great with around 200 people attending.

Fraternally,
Gene Gunsalus, Worshipful Master

 SECRETARY'S MESSAGE

Brethren:

The Idaho State Historical Museum is still researching, preparing, and organizing an exhibit on Freemasonry in Idaho. This exhibit will be presented to the public during the summer of 2008. The Grand Lodge is asking that we prepare files, photographs, and artifacts to assist the researchers from the museum. If you have any photographs or artifacts of an historical nature which could be of benefit, please feel free to contact me.

Visit www.northidahomasons.com for North Idaho Masonic news and events and www.ruralnorthwest.com for news of general interest.

Fraternally,
Tom Melbourn, Secretary

 QUEEN ESTHER CHAPTER #12
ORDER OF THE EASTERN STAR

Dear Friends:

This is our last message and while I enjoyed our year it will be wonderful to turn the reins of Queen Esther over to Judith and Barry's capable hands. I hope that you give them the same wonderful support John and I have enjoyed this year. Thank you for a great year.

Star Love
Sue and John Snodderley

NEW SEASONS AND BEGINNINGS
While it appears Spring weather may be slow in arriving, not so with Queen Esther Chapter #12 as their new season took place May 4th with the open installation of Officers for the 2008-2009 term. Barry and I were very honored to be installed as Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron. Our stellar corps of Officers installed were: Moira Block, Assoc Matron; Orion 'Bucky' Finley, Assoc. Patron; Diana Palmer, Secretary; Lois Durand, Treasurer; Jacqueline Richardson, Conductress; Mary Finley, Assoc. Conductress; Lois Stookey, Chaplain; Twyla Cope, Marshal; Yvonne Wilbur, Organist; Claudette Rose, Organist Pro-Tem; Bonnie Neyman, Adah; Doniece Dennis, Ruth; Melody Small, Ruth Pro-Tem; Petty Gleason, Esther; Katherine Osborne, Martha; Peggy Miller, Electa; Betty Willingham, Warder; Richard Lindsey, Sentinel.

Our theme is patriotic. Throughout the year we will honor our Military heroes, heroes of our Order and everday heroes. Those who serve Loyalty, Faith, Love. All of Them - Heroes.

Our Special Project will be the USO's 'Operation Phone Home'. From donations we collect and forward, the USO will provide free prepaid phone cards to our Troops overseas. There is also an urgent need for these phone cards. Barry, a Viet Nam veteran who personally benefited from the USO's services, and I are very proud to support this project. Should you care to donate, on behalf of the Troops, we thank you very much.

Monday, May 5th at 7:30 p.m. We will be honoring Susan and John Snodderley and their terrific year as WM & WP. It will also be a fun evening, so we hope you all can join us!
Monday May 19th. We will be honoring our 'First Hero' … Mom.
Monday, June 2nd. We will be honoring the Golden Stars/Heroes of OES.
June 7th - 10th is Eastern Star's Grand Chapter in Nampa, Idaho.
Monday, June 16th. We will be honoring our 'Second Hero' … Dad.

Each Season is a new beginning and if you haven't been to Chapter for a while, having you visit again would make it a season to celebrate. We miss you!

Star Love and Hugs,
Judith Walsborn, Worthy Matron
Barry Walsborn, Worthy Patron
