Dedicated In Honor To:
Dean Satchwell
This year we are honoring Dean Satchwell, the "Father" of our Kootenai River Ride.
Dean was an avid biker and brought to our attention
that there was great potential in our beautiful
countryside for a spectacular organized ride. That was
10 years ago and many riders have been glad Dean
expressed this to us.
Dean spent his career in law enforcement in both
Idaho and Washington.
Although Dean is battling medical issues, he is still
always good for a wave and a smile. We will be forever
grateful that he brought the Kootenai River Ride to our
community.
Enjoy the fall scenery as you pedal your way along the great Kootenai River and travel to the Kootenai National Wildlife Refuge. This is a paved route full of spectacular scenery with the potential to view wildlife, waterfowl, and Myrtle Creek Water Fall (10-minute walk).
